About Session
This session is open to all IEEE DySPAN and Spectrum Week attendees.
This session will be held in Madison from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
The broadband wireless digital divide is a wickedly complex problem that is due to many different factors that spans both demand-side and supply-side aspects as well as rural and urban regions. However, this divide has also resulted in and perpetuates socioeconomic and racial disparities that impact the ability of individuals and communities to fully participate in society and the economy. This panel will explore some of the underlying origins of this part of the digital divide and invite the audience to consider ways in which they can develop creative solutions to the barriers that maintain the broadband wireless digital divide.
